Open Question: HELP: Melbourne It Domain Users?
I'm designing a website on Ning.com. I'm done with the designing and wants to transfer my existing domain from MelbourneIT to Ning.com but it seems they don't support / have NameServers and the only option to opt for is DOMAIN MAPPING from MelbourneIT to my Ning.com subdomain, meanwhile I have no knowledge about DNS, A, CNAME or AAA record configurations. I tried using the MelbourneIT DNS faq but wasn't useful. Please I need help !!! I receive this mistake message after using a Mapping tutorial on Ning.com : There were some problems with your domains. Your A record for azontoleak.com points to 209.190.85.12, but it should point to 208.82.16.68.

Voting Question: Why is my CoD: Elite Founder code not working?
I recently bought a founder code on eBay and when I entered it, it said it was invalid. I feared the worst; I'd purchased a used code and had been scammed, but after looking on the FAQ I found that I need to play at least one match (I hadn't played yet). Now I've played a match but it still wont let me enter the code! Do I need to have elite premium or is this code used? Voting Question: Why are IKEA so secretive about disclosing information about the V.A.T on their items?
I'm just doing my books for a business - reclaiming some tax on various items in the office. Some of the stuff was purchased from Ikea, so I checked the website and tried to make some calls to look if Ikea are VAT registered, but found no answers. The FAQ site would not allow me to highlight the only question they presented about VAT. So then I went to the helpful customer question page where I could put my question to 'Ask Anna' (the automated customer services representative) . I typed in 'Value Added Tax' and pressed the return key. This is what it said: You said: "Value added tax" Anna says: "This is a very delicate area, so I'd rather not talk about this sort of thing. Please ask me something about IKEA instead". uuuuuuuuuuummmm???....Like what the.....????? Any idea's Many thanks every. I'm not trying to find out about individual items. I'm simply trying to find out if Ikea are VAT registered. It's not an unusual request and seeing as the business operates in Britain selling housing products and other bits and pieces it would be fair to assume that they are. If I'm entitled to claim back the tax (which I am) I would like to do so. If they are not registered then that's fine too, but I think we are every entitled to know. In fact it may well be the law that we are entitled to know, but this I am not positive about. So, that's my next question: Is it a legal requirement for a UK company or business is have to disclose whether it is VAT registered or not?

Resolved Question: I am having a problem with my Sims 3 PC game?
Okay, So I have the Sims 3 video game for my PC (computer) for about a year. It was working great up until about 4 months ago and when I would put the disc in and click on the icon on my desk-top it would arrive up the screen on were they show there adds and the play button and every but a pop-up would also appear and says "EA Manager can no be uploaded." And I would just click "Ok" and everything would be okay, but when i clicked the play button to play the game another pop-up would arrive up and say "no disc found. Please insert a disc to continue." (my disc was already in) Below that there were the buttons "cancel" and "retry" and i pressed retry and the same pop up would appear. I have no idea what today and went on there websites and on there FAQ's and, Nothing. Please help!! I also have to say after this problem I tried the game on a different computer by the same company and model and it worked perfectly! I was using it on that computer for the 4 months but am not able to use it because it is being used by someone else in my household for work. Please help!! Thanks!

Voting Question: Where is the link to "verify" your e-mail address for a Windows Live Hotmail account?
The idea is to turn off random "captcha code" spam-blocker requests before sending emails. You're supposed to be able to do that by "verifying" your email address with a confirmation answer of some nice. I've never done it before. The link below says you just have to "click Verify next to the email address" but I can't find that option in any settings dialog. Voting Question: Accessing FTP back up on Godaddy?
A client is using a back up FTP server with godaddy and we need to connect via FTP to it sing filezilla but entering the IP, username and password correctly we just receive a connection mistake. Further research shows we need to access the FTP server via an internal connection from our main server but I have no idea what this means or how it's done. GoDaddys' FAQ doesn't expand on this. Anyone able to explain this VERY simply? Thanks

Voting Question: yahoo account has a worm- and how to contact yahoo.?
I have a yahoo account that apparently got a worm or something. I dont know how because I have not opened any suspicious emails or clicked any links. I go on this email account daily and check my emails, but since it is the one I give out to everyone who requires or asks for an email.... I receive a ton of stuff that I dont need. But I do go in several times a day, mostly from my iphone... and check and delete email. Since I dont enter a password in every time... it stays open on my phone via the mobile app.... is that what could have compromised my account? The silly thing is, as soon as I found out these emails went out, I changed my password at home and emailed every of my contacts to tell them not to click links that I am sending until further notice. However, ANOTHER email went out AFTER I changed my password. I changed my password on my desktop computer at home. One that I rarely use to access the internet. Does this mean my account irrevocably compromised and I am going to have to close this account? I hate to do that because I have had the account for about 20 years and have never had a problem before. Also... it irritates me that when you go look in the help thing from the yahoo site, it brings up a list of previously asked questions. Or faq topics. I DO understand that they want you to try the other stuff first before you bother them because they would receive SO many questions every day. But when you click on the "Still cant find the answer" button that says contact us.... it just leads you back to the help topics. It never leads to a form to contact them. It is a never ending circle. HELP!!!!

Open Question: Could someone please explain to me why this KNIFE BLADE SHAPE is so rare?

Trust me, I've poured over many websites and catalogues. If there is anything similar, the relax of the knife is always rubbish. In my humble opinion, ideally a knife blade is: - Straight spined every the way to the tip (as in the link) - The edge close the tip is long, not an abrupt curve - The edge side extends out over the handle, so you can choke up on it - No guards are needed because of this - Full tang - The whole shape of the knife is straight, the handle is NOT at a different angle to the blade - Fixed blade Why? Because your stab penetrates easier than a clip point (no resistance from spine) and you haven't lost the weight or belly needed for decent slashing (draw back of a dagger). The shape seems to be more prevalent among kitchen knives, but they are too light to be expected to perform as a weapon or survival tool. Am I going to have to rent a workshop and do it myself?

I work at subway and the owner told me that i have a week to seriously work faster or hes gonna have to flame me. I was shocked because i think i work faster than alot of my coworkers and i always try to be as quick as possible...i doubt i can work faster than what im working now so theres a very high chance im getting fired. should i just call today and give them the faq you i quit speech? its my first job and been working for only a month...i know im done and i dont want to go back oh i forgot to mention...woulld i have to put this job on future applications?

Resolved Question: how do I make text change onmouseover but revert back onmouseout?
I am trying to create a faq page that has the questions and when you mouse over them it either adds the answer or changes to the answer then when you remove the mouse it goes back to the question. Please help never messed with html or javascript before have learned a little from online researching. Can anyone help me with the coding for that I have found some but it always deals with either links or images. Again I need text. Never worked with html or javascript before, decided to volunteer to make company website and didn't realize it would be this difficult!! I have thought about using a button that changes, however I need the button to be multilined because for my answer I cannot view the entire thing. any ideas?

Resolved Question: I may want to become a Marine or an Army Officer after college...?
I'm currently a Junior at a 4-year University, and am majoring in Biology. My brother is enlisted in the Marines currently, he's been in for about 1 year now. Basically I've always considered joining the military, but I decided to go to college and try to tutor at a University level for biology related courses like Cell Bio. However I also want to join the military out of my possess personal inclinations, and other things like getting help with my student loans and finding solid employment. What should I know? Obviously I will contact a recruiter's office, but maybe tomorrow. My brother also mentioned the Army has a better/easier time becoming an Officer than the Marines. Blast me with info if you can, I want personal feedback, I can find FAQ's and other stuff from the military websites and my relatives who were in the military.

Resolved Question: How to change or get around the Region settings for a DvD on My laptop?
I'm using an Acer Aspire 5742 Intel Core i5 with Windows 7. Because my DvD collection consists of both Region 1 and Region 2 DvDs I've almost used up every of the region changeovers allowed, however with only one remaining (and for some reason an inability to change the region despite having this one change remaining) I felt I needed some way to bypass the Region requirements for viewing these DvDs. I have tried using VLC but for some reason that would not read my DvDs. Upon checking the FAQ I found that it does not seem to like RPC Phase 2 readers which, unfortunately, is what my computer possesses. Does anyone know of any other ways I can receive around the Region readings, or a method of using VLC despite the RPC2? Thanks very much

Resolved Question: I need help with college when becoming a Veterinarian.?
I'm in high school and i've decided what colleges i want to go to but I looked through some of the FAQ and got confused. I want to go to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne college of veterinary medicine but it says "A big percentage of veterinary students have undergraduate majors in biology or animal science." (To be specific, I want to major in animal science) Does that mean I need to go to that university and major in either of those THEN go to the college of veterinary medicine? Does that mean i have to do 4 years to receive the major and then another 4 years in the college of veterinary medicine and then another 4 years in vet school? I also want to go to Auburn University or University of Missouri-Columbia and both have college of veterinary medicine also.

Resolved Question: Questions regarding Navy SEAL eligibility.?
I have been reading the FAQ section of the Navy SEAL website and some of those questions have raised a few of my possess. 1) One of the FAQ's regards having 20/20 vision. It says that the best can be no worse than 20/40 and the worst can be no worse than 20/70. My question is: Will they accept you if you have had laser correction to achieve 20/20 non-corrected? I ask because I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that to be an Air Force fighter jet pilot, you have to have natural 20/20 vision without laser correction. 2) Another FAQ was this: "Do I have to be in the Navy to be eligible for Navy SEAL training? Yes. To become a SEAL, you must join the U.S. Navy or already be serving in the Navy. I am confused by this because I thought you could just be a civilian and go through the process without being a sailor in the Navy. Can you attempt to be a Navy SEAL as a civilian? Does the paperwork/application process make you instantly in the Navy (for the time being a SEAL candidate)? 3) The website states that you must be eligible for Secret-level Security clearance. I know what it means, but what qualifies for that? No criminal record? No traffic violations (including speeding and parking tickets)? 4) Finally, if you were to become a candidate to become a SEAL, got to qualification/training but didn't make it, would you be sent back to your normal civilian life (if you can enter as a normal civilian. Question #2), or would you become a sailor in the Navy? Thank you for taking the time to read every of this (if you still are).

Resolved Question: How can a person apply for relief from Federal firearms disabilities?
This is an excerpt from the ATF FAQ page: " below the provisions of the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA), convicted felons and certain other persons are prohibited from possessing or receiving firearms. The GCA provides the Attorney General with the authority to grant relief from this disability where the Attorney General determines that the person is not likely to act in a manner dangerous to the public safety and granting relief would not be contrary to the public interest. The Attorney General delegated this authority to ATF." " Since October 1992, however, ATF’s annual appropriation has prohibited the expending of any funds to investigate or act upon applications for relief from Federal firearms disabilities submitted by individuals. As long as this provision is included in current ATF appropriations, the Bureau cannot act upon applications for relief from Federal firearms disabilities submitted by individuals." [18 U.S.C. 922(g), 922(n) and 925(c)] This is the same law that Vice President Agnew used to restore his second amendment rights. If this is accurate, it means this provision of the law has not been available for 20 years. How is it legal to have a law on the books, yet not provide the funding to administer the law? Could this be interpreted as a violation of due process? What is the reason for not funding this act?

Resolved Question: Do more pages on a website help with SEO even if it is the same amount of content?
If I were to have a FAQ section on my website that had 10 questions and their respective answers would it be better for SEO purposes to include each question and answer on a separate web page? The alternative would be to have every questions and answers on one page. I have heard that the more pages you have the better but didn't know if that literally meant more pages or if they when they said "more pages" they were just referring to more content on the website in general.

I am trying to lose weight. So at a health store, there was a cleansing for your body on sale. I bought them. 2 pills at night, 2 pills in the morning on an empty stomach. A long with a decent diet ... & exersize, its been going good. I have lost 28 lbs so far, but I do not notice anything from this body cleanse. Other than I am peeing a lot more often. As well as number 2. I pee like every hour. It is annoying, but was wondering if this is because of the cleanse ? No info about that on the instruction/faq manual.

Voting Question: Why are some Linux forum mods so persnickety?
LOL. This is just a question I had to ask. I've been a Ubuntu guy for quite a while and been posting on their forums for years and couldn't be happier. I recently posted on 'Debian user forums' at http://forums.debian.net and met the welcome and cheer committee. I'm not sure but it is possible that the sticky or faq mention that a sense of humor (no matter how dry) is bad netiquette. Is netiquette really the most important thing to Debian guys. Ubuntu was not the same experience. No I did not say anything stupid or obnoxious, and I am welcome to post at anytime. However the Debian guys seem to take life a little to seriously. I'm not a critic, only interested to understand the Debian culture which appears to lie on the less technical help side of the bell curve in favor of persnickety netiquette lessons.

Yes I do play neopets IDC what people think. Anyways If anybody got this mistake before if you have forgotten your pin to your account. I have quit neopets for 7 months due to issues in real life. But I completely forgot what I set my pin to. And I tried to send it but I got this neomail from them..... A message sent to you at sil********23@hotmail.com was not delivered. The message from the other server is 'This user has asked to not be sent any email messages'. Check http://www.neopets.com/faq.phtml to find out what you can do to fix the problem. Resolved Question: Should i trust this ebay buyer?
I soled some shoes worth £155 on ebay 2days ago and when i was selling the item, i listed as UK ONLY with free shipping. So the buyer has an address in the UK and thats where i was gonna deliver the item but she paid me an extra £60 into my paypal account so i can boat the shoes to her son WHO IS IN NIGERIA for his birthday. the weird things: 1. I've recieved letters from service@paypal saying i've been paid but when i log into PP, ther is no payment!! 2. I recieved another letter from paypal saying the money is held in an escrow account!?!? WTF is that? and i did a bit of research and this escrow thing and apparently, it only works if both buyer and seller live in US (look link) https://www.escrow.com/support/faq/index.asp?qid=143 3. This is my first ever sell on ebay. So do you thing this is a scam??

Open Question: Freesmith player - how to expand screen to omit toolbars?
If i remember correctly, with VLC i could expand to the complete real-estate my 15" screen has. I.E. so it superimposes the toolbars & taskbar Is that not available in Freesmith? I'm using Freesmith right now, but can't find the full-expand option. Nor can i find the answer in FAQ & online search.

Open Question: International Student?
I am an International Student, I started college on a tier 4 sponser and completed my course January 2011, as soon as i finished my course I launched my application for a visa extention on Tier 4 A trusted sponser on March 2011 and the visa was refused on March 28. I obtained my CAS and launched my application the the UKBA, as per the rules below my current immigration I should not attend. My college wanted me to start studying and then insisted me to attend college. As i had no choice after I launch my application I started studying at the college and the visa was refused for the reason that I attended college prior to hearing from the UKBA, I personally took a print of the FAQ and policy guidance and showed it the director of studies, but still he wanted me attend, then after it was refused I was assigned another CAS letter and the college informed me not to attend college, as ur visa will be refused if u start studying, then I launched another fresh application and waited till november 2011 till i hear the decsion, the visa was refused on the same basis. I appealed for my visa and asked the college to accept their fault, I dont have any written evidence, and now I am on appeal, I need to take action again my college and director of studies for providing me untrue information and for not admitting the truth, I personally can stand on my possess to prove that I am not wrong. Please let me know if there is any further step I can take to receive my visa granted.

Open Question: Miss Ohio Teen USA Pageant - - - Entry Fee?
I was just informed that I made it into the pageant for this coming November, but as I was looking over every the details and FAQ's I saw no information on the amount of the pageant entry fee. The email mentioned there being one but there was no more detail than that. Does anybody know the amount for entry? :) And, of course, points to the best answer!

Open Question: Are there questions on answers.yahoo.com that you wouldn't answer? What sort and why?
I posted two questions so far. Both were non-essential questions that google, wikipedia and "my private library" failed me on. I noticed the point system, and had a knee jerk reaction to the declining "points", so I answered 8 questions in 1 night. I was sort of appalled. I guess I'm just a newbie. The first question was from someone who was actually not going to vaccinate her child because she was getting quack advice. I guess that was the worst. 2 questions were from, probably, kids who were stuck on homework questions and were hoping someone would do their homework for them... afterwards, I almost felt bad I answered, I just wasn't thinking. 1 question was from either a 13 year old girl, or someone posing as a one, which sounded like a textbook lift of an early stage eating disorder red flag, it was a dieting question where she was panicking about needing to loose 400 calories "before dinner". Are there ethical rules of thumb in answering questions? Anywhere these are covered for newbies? I did do a google search on "ethics answers.yahoo.com", "guidelines", "answers.yahoo.com faq" and so on... it was unproductive. Answers.yahoo.com search found me a few questions that were close, but most of them are specific like: "Is it a good thing that Yahoo Answers allows massive breachs of academic ethics?" ( ironic misspelling not mine... ), and "is it illegal for non-lawyers to answer questions of legality" ( IANAL ). What about questions like suicide etc? I guess I don't want to answer those, but I'd like to have a way to report them, so I suppose just hit the "report abuse" flag? Or would that trigger the question to be deleted, while the needy person goes off and deletes?

my pal told me about this new job she got called "ambit". after doing some googling i found this webpage: http://www.topambitleaders.com/faq the link right here is for their FAQ. scroll down and there is a question, "what do i receive for the $429 enrollment fee?" this sounds like a scam to me.... i have read that if a job ever asks for money for enrollment, it is likely a scam. can you please check out the link, and tell me if you think this is a scam? oh also she is trying to receive me to check it out which is why i googled it
